How soon will attendees see the updated content on their devices?

Each device requests updates intermittently to ensure attendees see the most up-to-date information. The process of acquiring and storing new content is optimized to accommodate the variety of attendee wireless data plans and levels of Internet connectivity. The event web site will reflect changes immediately on page refresh across all devices.

Event Updates

The frequency of native iOS and Android app events updating depends on the status of that event as detailed in the schedule below:

• Every 5 minutes during active usage (meaning the attendee is viewing the event on their device) for iOS devices and every 10~15 minutes for Android devices. 
• Every 24 hours when opening the app prior to the event start date
• Every hour when opening the app, from 48 hours before the start date until the end date
• Every 24 hours when opening the app for up to 16 weeks after the end of the event

Users can also manually update event data with the refresh button at the bottom of the event menu. (Prior to version 2020.1, that control is found on the Event Details screen.)

Exceptions

• Unpublished events do not update automatically
• The organizations list in the Eventsential and Engagefully apps will update every hour

360 (YEAR ROUND) UPDATES
The frequency of native iOS and Android app 360 content updates in the schedule below: 

• Hourly
• Mobile app user can initiate manually through the 360 menu using the refresh option at the bottom of the menu
