Create a New Event Using a Template

Starting in the 'Events' tab in the back office, click on the button "add new event'.

Select the template that best matches your event scenario, and the menu will automatically populate with options that are relevant to your needs.
While template selection can only be made at the beginning of the event creation process and cannot be changed later, the choice of a template does not lock the menu structure. You can still customize the menu and contents anytime after the event is created.

Items Created to Assist With Getting Started
Roles
Two roles are created by default with each template to assist with managing access and visibility to menu items. The majority of menu items are open to all by default. Assigning a role to a menu item restricts access to those participants with the appropriate role.
NOTE: Existing roles can be removed, and additional roles can be added.
- Registrants
- Staff
Additional Items Created By Default
There are several items created as a means of providing examples. These items will need attention to update as appropriate for your event(s).
- Notifications - A single notification is provided as an example.
- Additional Menu Items:
- Admin Portal
- Conference Attire
- WiFi
- Ads - A single RD Mobile ad is provided as an example.
Please update or remove these items as needed while building your event.
Templates
There are currently three templates available for selection. The Conference default template varies slightly based on the solution purchased, Engagefully or Engagefully EVENTS (formerly Eventsential).

Conferences (Engagefully Default - Clients who purchased Engagefully)
The best option for your annual and multi-day conferences but versatile enough for a wide range of events.
It contains the following menu structure:
