Follow-Up Emails

Invitation emails can help ensure that attendees create their account and download the mobile app before your event begins. Follow-up emails allow you to continue targeted communication with registrants.
If you haven't done this yet, check out our article on Invitation and Welcome Emails. You do not need to activate an invitation email to send follow-up emails. However, we recommend using the invitation email feature as best practice.
To create a new follow-up email, click "add new email" and enter a subject and formatted text for the email content. A plain text version is also available for users whose email client doesn't support HTML.
You can include optional links for users to log in to their account or download the mobile app, using the same links from the invitation and welcome emails.
Define criteria to determine who should receive the follow-up email based on event role or whether they've selected the event. Click "create" to save and send a test email to yourself.
To make changes, click "edit." When you're ready to send the email, click "Send to Registrants" to confirm or cancel. After sending, a log will show the date, time, and number of recipients.
To send or re-send the email to a specific individual, locate them under the Participants tab and click the follow-up email button. This overrides the recipient criteria defined by the email configuration.
It is important to note, the "re-send email" feature for follow up emails are only enabled when the invitation email has been activated. You can still send 'follow-up emails' (non-invitation emails) to registrants of a specific role without activating the invitation email, but you will not see the 're-send' option in the individual registrant profiles/detail pages in the event backoffice.
