Assigning Event Support

What is Event Support?
The Event Support staff is the Association appointed first point of contact for matters relating to individual events. The Event Support staff role can easily be rotated amongst Association personnel; however, every event is required to have at least one Event Support staff at any time.
The Event Support staff is responsible for working with the RD Mobile Support Team to field attendee questions, especially during events. They triage support issues, and reach out to the RD Team for technical support and other issues related to the platform.

Why is it Necessary, and How does it Differ from Event Managers and Admins?
Many support issues are urgent, especially just before, and during an event. While Admins and Event Managers may be essential in planning and organizing the event, having multiple points of contact may lead to pressing matters not being addressed in a timely manner. Having a single designated representative ensures a prompt response and a clear channel of communication for everyone involved.
How to Assign Event Support
For New Events
When creating a new event, you can assign the Event Support role to a staff member by entering their email address in the Designated support email address field:
Please note that the email address is required in order to create the event, but can be edited at any time.
For Existing Events
For existing events, Event Support can be configured by going to: Event Info > Event Support edit > Enter staff email address in the Designated support email address field
The Additional email addresses field is available for staff that want to be CC'ed on attendee support requests. Multiple email addresses can be entered, separated by commas:
