Real-Time Notification for Desktop Users

With the 2021.8 update, Desktop users will receive real-time alerts when there is a new Notification or if a direct Message is sent by another attendee.
Notifications
Notifications, both immediate and scheduled, will appear at the top-right-hand corner of the screen. The countdown ring indicates how long the message will stay up (roughly 8 seconds), and clicking anywhere on the pop-up panel will stop the countdown. Selecting "Read More" will display the entire message in a drop-down. The user will also see the indicator symbol (dot) on the left-hand-side navigation menu over the item "Notifications" when a new announcement is made. Clicking on "x" at the corner of the Notification alert will close the panel.
Direct Messaging
Users will also receive Direct Messaging notifications. Similar to the Notifications alert above, countdown will pause when interacting with the pop-up. Users can reply to the message by typing a response, and hitting "Send". All direct correspondence with other attendees can be found by clicking "Direct Messaging" on the Left Navigation panel.
