Authentication and Troubleshooting Instructions

The required Authentication Instructions field allows you to provide instructions to event participants in the case that they are experiences challenges logging into the event platform. The most common challenges are:
- Attempting to log into a restricted event with a non-registered email address
- Logging in with the incorrect or misspelled email address
- Email being sent to an email junk folder
- Email is blocked by the participants email provider
- Login link is corrupted by participants email provider
To address the above we've implemented Access Codes which can be used in place of Login Links. You'll want to provide language specific to the configuration of your event. Below are a few examples.
Unrestricted Events
Sample Language for In-Person Event
Once onsite, please visit the registration desk to request an access code. If you have questions in advance you can email us at ____.

Restricted Events
If your event is restricted using a registration list or shared password, then the text will also appear if an attendee enters a non-registered email address. Therefore you can use the following language as a template.
Sample Language for In-Person Event
This is a restricted event, please ensure you enter the email address you used to register. If you are not receiving login emails you can request an access code by emailing ______ or if onsite visiting the registration desk.
